Another web comic makes it big time!

Garfield Minus Garfield (http://garfieldminusgarfield.net/) has been a personal favorite comic of mine, and it was announced at this year's Comic Con that Ballantine Books (the same people who publish all those Garfield books) will publish a book on the strip this October.

You've got to check out Garfield Minus Garfield even if you're not a fan of Jim Davis' Garfield. The site (created by Dan Walsh) is dedicated to removing Garfield from the Garfield comic strips in order to reveal the existential angst of Jon Arbuckle. It is a journey deep into the mind of an isolated young everyman as he fights a losing battle against loneliness and depression in a quiet American suburb.

What's even cooler is that Jim Davis is actually a fan of the site, too.

Congrats to Dan Walsh, and kudos to Jim Davis for being a great guy!
